Q. How To Unleash The Force of Entrepreneurship?
Do you feel you are able to take your business idea or concept, and make it grow into a productive business? Or do problems of governance, corruption or conflict poses problems in your country for doing business?
Jean Rogers (a senior officer at the Center for International Private Enterprise - CIPE) wrote recently about the efforts of US President Obama to promote the new US policy which 'heralds democracy and economic growth as central tenets of a moral imperative not just to help others, but to do so with long-term well-being in mind'.
President Obama has said, “[E]very nation will pursue its own path to prosperity. But decades of experience tell us that there are certain ingredients upon which sustainable growth and lasting development depends. We know that countries are more likely to prosper when they encourage entrepreneurship; when they invest in their infrastructure; and when they expand trade and welcome investment.”
I'm interested in response from persons who feel this website can help them address problems encountered in getting a business started and keeping it running.

I haven't encountered any external "problems of governance, corruption or conflict" at all, during the time I've been setting up a business in Turkey with my Turkish business partner. The difficult part of it has been completely and fully understanding (a) my own strengths and weaknesses, and (b) how much demand there is in the Turkish market for what my company is offering.
